NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION...NOT!
For some reason, with a new year comes this pressure of resolution.
People ask “What is your New Year’s resolution?”. My answer is always: I don’t have one.
Why? Because, I don’t limit myself to one particular time of year to change, to improve, to make something better or do something that is right for me.
Why put added pressure on myself?
Resolution happens everyday based on our day-to-day experiences.
Don’t put that pressure on yourself either.
Unless you find yourself committing and staying accountable for that promise, don’t make it. All you’ll feel is disappointment for not following through and for not being successful.
If you do want things to shift in your life to improve your health, your attitude, your self, then take little steps that are attainable.
-Use post-it notes or even your cell phone alarm settings as reminders to you of your goal.
-Be gentle and kind toward yourself.
-It is not an easy time, especially as the cold and dreary weather stays and we really feel the blues and lack motivation.
Be honest about what you want, keep the promise to yourself and share your goal only with those you trust.
